In March, Kefalonia Fisheries successfully passed the “Zero waste to landfill” audit conducted by TÜV Nord at its facilities.

During the audit, it became clear that Kefalonia Fisheries has a waste control and monitoring system in place that ensures effective waste recovery and avoids landfill disposal.

Of all the tons of waste generated in 2024, 98.51% was managed through alternative treatment operations to landfill, thus achieving the “Advanced Commitment Level” in the certification.

This result represents a recognition of the commitment to sustainability, demonstrating Kefalonia Fisheries’ involvement and responsibility to society and the environment.
